From reviewing draft intellectual property bills to monitoring legislative processes, participating in public hearings, engaging with members of the National Assembly, meeting with the leadership of the relevant MDAs in Nigeria and participating in seminars and workshops, we continue to advocate for the strengthening of the intellectual property laws and institutions in Nigeria.
In furtherance of our objectives, we organise training programs on intellectual property laws and issues in Nigeria. In partnership with the Nigerian Copyright Commission, we are working towards organise periodic training programs for members of the Bench and Bar on key intellectual property issues.
We create awareness on the importance of intellectual property and the legal framework for the protection of such rights.
IPLAN unveiled the maiden edition of its newsletter which covers key issues relating to the protection of IP rights in Nigeria. We create awareness on varying aspects of intellectual property, regulatory and legislative issues, and developments within the Commercial Law Department.
